I enjoy watching this video for many reasons but mainly because of the animation as it is produced well and creates a journey in the music video and it seems that as the five men progress, they discover new entities. The woman is the first one that comes across, she is supposed to be a beautiful creature that is shown through colour. She joins the men before coming across a giant bird which is vanquished by her power. However, the ship is wrecked and they are forced to move on foot. Again they meet a monster and the lady prevails and then another. In the end though, the woman meets another beast who is similar and it is used to show her passing on with her people.
There are a lot of supposed meanings to the video, one being that the woman is suffering from a broken heart and 'gone, gone, gone away I watched you disappear. All that's left is a ghost of you' is to convey that her lover has left but the memories of the times they shared remains.
I also like this video because of the contrast between the black & white and the colour. This is because the woman appears to make the men shine and she is showing them a better path. This interests me as the video could have multiple symbolic meanings.
